David Sela
Founder
David Sela founded Copap in 1989 and has led the group ever since. Under his leadership, Copap has grown into an international trading group headquartered in Montreal, active in more than 50 countries across forest products, petrochemicals and polymers. That trading heritage is the foundation of Ossiano Capital, the group's specialist supply chain and trade finance house. Ossiano draws on the counterparty relationships, market knowledge and operating discipline Copap has built over nearly four decades, giving buyers, sellers and financial partners a finance house that understands the physical movement of goods from the inside.

Cassio Calil
Chief Executive Officer
Cassio has led Ossiano Capital as Chief Executive Officer since 2019. He sets the firm's strategy and leads its relationships with clients and financial partners, from commodity traders and producers to banks, non-bank financiers and insurers. He brings nearly four decades of experience in corporate treasury, investment banking and asset management. At J.P. Morgan he served as a Managing Director for more than a decade, including as Group Head of International Corporate Client Banking and President of Asset Management in Brazil. He previously held treasury leadership roles at IBM in Sydney, Dublin and New York, and served as Head of Financial Services and Chief Commercial Officer at Brightstar. Cassio holds a master's degree in Economics from Macquarie University.

Matt Caballero
Chief Operating Officer
Matt oversees finance, risk and operations at Ossiano Capital and Copap, where he has worked since 2020. At Ossiano, he brings a capital markets perspective to how the firm assesses, structures and manages its trade finance exposure, and keeps the operational side of each client relationship running smoothly. His expertise spans fixed income, interest rate derivatives and credit derivatives, built over more than a decade in capital markets and financial services. Matt holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Samira Alencar
Director of Client Services & Operations
Samira leads client services and operations at Ossiano Capital, overseeing how clients are onboarded and supported through each transaction. She joined Copap in 2016 as an Import and Export Analyst and has served as Director of Operations since 2021, bringing hands-on knowledge of documentation, logistics and cross-border trade to the finance side of the business. Across her career in international trade and trade finance, she has onboarded more than 400 clients and managed relationships with more than 300 suppliers. Samira holds a degree in International Relations from PUC São Paulo.

Patrícia Silva Candido
Client Services, Trade Compliance
Patrícia joined Copap in 2021 and supports clients from onboarding through to completion. She manages KYC and due diligence workflows, answers client questions on trade finance processes, and reviews commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading as each transaction progresses. She brings more than two decades of experience in international logistics and trade compliance, including sanctioned party screening, third-party due diligence, customs audits and Authorized Economic Operator programs at multinational companies. Patrícia holds a degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate qualification in International Trade.

Camila Romanini
Client Services, Import & Export
Camila joined Copap in 2023 and has worked with Ossiano Capital since 2024, handling the import and export side of client transactions. She brings nearly three decades of experience in international trade, much of it with thyssenkrupp, where she reviewed and approved shipping documentation including bank guarantees and letters of credit, managed freight, insurance and customs clearance, and oversaw special customs regimes. Her background also includes export operations at Mabe. Camila holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Trade and a postgraduate qualification in Strategic Business Management.

Roberta Justen Teixeira
Client Services, Import & Export
Roberta joined Copap in 2022 and works with Ossiano Capital clients on the coordination of their import and export flows. She brings more than 25 years of experience in foreign trade, supply chain and logistics, including senior export and distribution roles at Organon, Boehringer Ingelheim and MSD. Her expertise spans end-to-end export coordination, logistics cost control against budget, supplier payments and trade security and compliance programs. Roberta holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Trade and has completed further study in supply chain finance and logistics costs at Unicamp.
